Maintenance fee (trademark)
The renewal fee paid each cycle (typically every ten years) to keep a registered trademark in force.
Trademark maintenance fees — also called renewal fees — are paid at fixed intervals (typically every ten years) to keep a registered trademark in force. Each registration must be renewed separately in every jurisdiction where it is protected, and fees differ per country and with the number of classes covered. Some offices also impose a use-confirmation step (such as the U.S. Section 8 declaration) alongside the renewal payment.
